Pool
May

Pool Hours of Operation:  Open daily from 9 am to 8:30 pm commencing mid May.  The pool enclosure gate will close at 9 pm each evening.
WARNING:  NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY - SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  • The pool, its enclosure (the area inside the fence) and furniture, are for the exclusive use of Ocean Shore Condominium Association residents, tenants and their invited guests.  Pool ID bracelets are required for all persons over the age of five (5) and must be displayed while in the pool enclosure.  Everyone should wear the pool bracelets on their arm/wrist/leg for complete visibility - bracelets in pool bags are not visible.  Each unit is issued six (6) bracelets.

  • Each resident/tenant and their invited family members and guests are expected to adhere to all pool rules and regulations.  All users are expected to be courteous and considerate of others in the pool area.  Owners have the right and responsibility to question any pool user(s) not displaying pool ID bracelets or adhering to pool rules and regulations.  Owners must take full responsibility for all guests - escorted or unescorted.  In addition, it is the owner's responsibility to inform guests of all Ocean Shore rules and regulations while on property.

  • No person under the age of 16 years may be in the pool area unless accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older (City of Virginia Beach ordinance).

  • Pool furniture may NOT be reserved or saved while persons are outside of the pool area; it limits other residents' use of tables and chairs at the pool.  Chaise lounges are restricted to users age 16 and older.  Residents are asked to return chaise lounges to their original FLAT position after use (in case the wind picks up).  Chairs should be repositioned around the four tables in groups of four (4).  Umbrellas are to be closed after use and tied securely or whenever the winds pick up, so as to preclude damage.  Pool furniture may NOT be removed from the pool deck area.

  • Children of diaper age must wear "swim diapers" or rubber pants to prevent accidents in the pool resulting in unsanitary conditions and pool closure.

  • Any Certified Pool Operator may close the pool or delay its opening if the pool chemistry is not within approved limits or is deemed to be unsanitary.

  • When returning from the beach, all Ocean Shore pool users should use the foot showers at either entrance to the pool to keep sand out of the pool.

  • All pool users are expected to remove all personal belongings from tables and chairs whenever leaving the pool area.  Place all trash in the container located near the pool entrance gate.  There is no "lost and found."  All items left at the end of the day will be disposed of properly.

  • No glass, breakable containers or BBQ grills are allowed in the pool enclosure.  No pets are allowed.  No running, smoking or audible music is allowed  in the pool area.   Earphones are acceptable.  Diving is prohibited at all times.

  • In case of an emergency, call 911 using the Red Emergency Call Box located on the brick wall of Building 2420 - near the pump house.

  • Failure to abide by the pool rules and regulations may result in the Board of Directors issuing a suspension, restriction or loss of pool privileges by a resident or tenant.

  • Pool ID bracelets can be obtained through the website CONTACT MANAGER tab.

Pool Showers

The showers by the pool are always drained for the winter months.   So if you are still walking the beach or walking your dog during the winter months, the shower heads are not available.   They are winterized each year around November 1.
